The Dale Association, with its rich history serving the needs of adults of all ages, strives to enhance memory through stimulation, education and socialization. Memory Minders, a social day program for people with early memory impairment, welcomes new participants to its weekly and twice-weekly program.

Memory Minders meet every Monday and Friday, from 10:00am-2:00pm at the Dale Association, 33 Ontario Street, Lockport. Lunch and transportation are available. Memory Minders participants enjoy activities and support designed to slow the further deterioration of mild memory loss such as:             

Activities
Art  
Music 
Games
Nutrition
Socialization
Exercise
Outings

Cost is $25.00 per session.

The program is based on a proven model founded by The Brookdale Foundation. The program receives its support from the Niagara County Office for the Aging and Lockport Wal-mart.

Imagine not remembering last Thanksgiving or Christmas. What if you forgot your own granddaughter? In fact the entire last quarter of 2007 is a loss for Shari, who had a brain aneurism burst in October. Her family wasn’t sure they would ever get Shari back. After spending months in intensive care and then in a nursing home, Shari was finally able to come home.
