Meet with Providers:
ClearCaptions telephones are designed for people with hearing loss. Learn more from ClearCaptions representative Doug Braun at our Centre on Thursday, December 20 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm.

Elderwood of Lockport community liaison Angelina Anzalone will be at our Centre on Thursday, December 20 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm to share information about the residence, rehabilitative programs and services, and respite care.

A representative from the Lockport Presbyterian Home will be on site Wednesday, November 28 and December 19 from 10:00 am-2:00 pm to meet guests and provide information about their Lockport residence.

Volunteer Holiday Potluck
Bring in your favorite potluck dish to share on Tuesday, December 18 at 11:30 am. In lieu of a gift exchange, we are asking that you bring in a non-perishable item for the food pantry. Please come and help us celebrate all of your hard work over the past year! To reserve your space call Sherry Livergood at ext. 109 by December 11.

Holiday Party
Join us on Thursday, December 20 at 11:00 am for our annual Holiday party and luncheon. The Dale staff and Niagara County’s “Eat Well Stay Well” staff will serve you a special holiday meal. Holiday raffle items will be on display one last time and tickets will be available. Those bringing a non-perishable food item for donation to the Food Pantry will earn an extra raffle ticket. Call to reserve your space by December 10. Cost: $3.25 (payable day of the lunch).

Count Down to Noon
For those who cannot stay awake until midnight, or those who want to party all day long ... we will be celebrating the new year, by counting Down to Noon with entertainment, pizza, and small appetizers on Monday, December 31 at 11:00 am. Call to reserve you spot today. Cost: Free (members) $10 (non-members).

Holiday Cookie Shoppe
Pre-order sales are now underway for our annual Holiday Cookie Shoppe. If you are looking for an easy and meaningful way to give delicious cookies this holiday season, this sale is for you! These delicious cookies are just $6 per pound. All orders of five pounds or more will earn a special gift and be eligible for delivery (within the city and town of Lockport). Cookies will be packaged in seal-tight, stay fresh containers.

Pre-orders (minimum of two pounds) are strongly encouraged, and due by Monday, December 3. Cookies can be picked up Thursday, December 6 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Walk-in orders welcome, but selections may be limited.

If you have a special holiday cookie recipe to share, we’re also looking for bakers. If interested call 433-1886 and ask for the “cookie queen.”

SMILE at The Dale
Starting in January we will be introducing The Dale Association’s SMILE program; Socialization, Meaningful Stimulation, Inspiring, Lunch together, and Exercise! A new structured program designed especially for our members, SMILE will offer group setting fun for everyone. Beginning January 9 and continuing each Wednesday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for cooking, crafts, guest speakers, fellowship, games, chair exercise, Eat Well, Stay Well lunch and of course – laughter, the best medicine. Sign up today as space is limited. Cost: $15 per day (members), $30 per day (non-members). Cost includes all of the above activities.

"Discovering The Dale Association"
Our friends at LCTV (Lockport Community Television) bring quality local programming to cable customers in Niagara, Northern Erie and Orleans Counties. Since 1983, The Dale Association has hosted a program where our staff members and special guests - including our dedicated business sponsors - share topics of interest to viewers of all ages. The program is also available through live streaming at www.lctv.net.

Traveling Entertainers: "The Bag Ladies"
The Traveling Entertainment group is comprised of fun-loving women, age 60 and older, who perform at meetings, functions and events in the Western New York area. The act includes "The Bag Ladies", and "Line Dancers". The group provides a positive image of aging with their energy, hilarious antics, and sassyness.
