Nominations now being accepted for Annual Awards Reception
Thank you for your interest and support of The Dale Association over the last year. We welcome you, your friends and family to celebrate our partnership with the community, listen to Maureen Wendt describe her vision of the Agency for the upcoming year at our Annual Awards Reception on November 15 at 6:00 pm, hosted at The Dale Association.
We recognize that it takes strong community support to ensure our mission makes an impact on the community. Awards to be given:
Bette Dale Service Award: Presented to an individual, group, or organization who has demonstrated a commitment to the older adult community. The award is designed to recognize the spirit of service exemplified by Bette Dale, the Lockport Senior Centre’s first Executive Director.
Millicent Russel Award: Presented to an individual, group, or organization who has demonstrated a commitment to enhancing community healthcare access and partnerships. This award is designed to recognize the spirit of community collaboration exemplified by Millicent Russel, the first volunteer Executive Director of the Golden Age Club, which evolved into the Senior Centre. A nurse, by profession, Millicent’s life was dedicated to enhancing community health care.
Mental Health Hero Award: Presented to an individual, group, or organization who has demonstrated a commitment to the mental health community.
Teamwork Award: Presented to organizations, businesses, or individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to The Dale Association

We’ll be celebrating the turning of the leaves and the crisp fall air with a traditional German meal and our own version of Oktoberfest! Join us Wednesday, October 10 at 11:30 am, when Lyle Stang will be here to entertain us with German Polkas and other lively music. Cost:$7 (members) $15 (non-members).
Daily Numbers Lottery Drawing
We are currently selling daily number lottery ticket drawing chances for the month of October. The numbers will be verified by the evening numbers drawn through the New York State lottery. The tickets are $5 a piece. Stop by the information desk to purchase your tickets. All of the proceeds benefit the programs and services at the Senior Centre. The daily prize winners will receive a check in the mail. Thank you for your support.
The Keenagers Club is for any single senior who enjoys meeting others, going for lunch, and attending local events. Call us at 433-1886, if you are interested in becoming a member.

Our friends at LCTV (Lockport Community Television) bring quality local programming to cable customers in Niagara, Northern Erie and Orleans Counties. Since 1983, The Dale Association has hosted a program where our staff members and special guests - including our dedicated business sponsors - share topics of interest to viewers of all ages. The program is also available through live streaming at www.lctv.net.

Traveling Entertainers: "The Bag Ladies"
The Traveling Entertainment group
is comprised of fun-loving women, age 60 and older, who perform at meetings, functions and events in the Western New York area. The act includes "The Bag Ladies", and "Line Dancers". The group provides a positive image of aging with their energy, hilarious antics, and sassyness. Their talent for playing an audience has made them a favorite among all ages.
