The History of Buffalo Roadways
Ken Kuminski, licensed Professional Engineer with NYSDOT, will be at The Dale Wednesday, May 23 at 10:00 am to discuss the history of transportation in Buffalo, dating back to the Holland Land Company up until the modern expressway.

Early Buffalo Music and Entertainment
Rick Falkowski, founder of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame will be here Wednesday, May 30 at 1:00 pm to take us back to the beginning of Buffalo's rich music and entertainment heritage. We'll discuss Canal Street to early theaters, vaudeville, burlesque, big band, and music prior to the advent of rock 'n' roll.

Threats to the Great Lakes Today
Dave Rosenthal, Managing Editor of Great Lakes Today, WBFO, will present Wednesday, June 6 at 10:00 am. He'll speak about the Great Lakes, which contain one-fifth of the world's fresh surface water supply. But the health of our Lakes is threatened by problems such as climate change, untreated sewage and invasive species. We'll examine the impact and how they can be mitigated.

Recipe for Positive Emotional/Mental Health
Melanie Washington, Behavioral Health Clinical Coordinator at BlueCross BlueShield of WNY, will be here on Wednesday, June 13 at 10:00 am to discuss emotional and mental well-being. Maintaining our emotional and mental health is just as important as maintaining our physical health, but something many of us neglect. We'll discuss ways to improve our emotional and mental health.

Email Basics
Navigating the Internet can be a challenge, especially when you need an email address to do most things. An active email address is needed for signing up for social media sites like Facebook, shopping online, or even just catching up with local news. Join Marketing Coordinator Rikki Cason on Tuesday, June 26 at 10:00am to learn how to sign up for an email address. We will also go over various thngs you dan do with an email address and tips on pitfalls to avoid. Come with questions. Tablets will be provided, or participants can bring their own devices. Baby Picture Contest!
Join in on the fun and bring a picture of you from your younger years. The Senior Centre will be having a picture contest throughout the month of July. Photos will be on display near the front desk and ballots will be available to guess who is in the pictures. Then on August 1, we will display the names by the photos and announce the winner of the most photos named correctly. Members and staff are invited to participate, by bringing in a photo with your name on the back. Please have your photos in by June 27. We hope to have all of your support in this fun activity. Traveling Entertainers: "The Bag Ladies"
The Traveling Entertainment group is comprised of fun-loving women, age 60 and older, who perform at meetings, functions and events in the Western New York area. The act includes "The Bag Ladies", and "Line Dancers". The group provides a positive image of aging with their energy, hilarious antics, and sassyness.
