Monthly Hands-on Craft Class
Each month we will be creating a trendy new craft together. We just ask that you bring your creativity and a snack to pass. All supplies will be included in the class fee. Sign up by calling 433-1886 or use our convenient PayPal option below.

Fairy/Gnome Gardens - Tuesday, June 19
we will be making a fairy/gnome garden. Learn how to make one of these popular mini gardens to decorate your front porch or yard, and bring a smile to your face. We will provide a pot, dirt, plants, rocks to decorate with and a small gnome/fairy accessory. The first six people to sign up will get an additional accessory to decorate their garden with. Cost: $25 (members), $30 (non-members).

Seasonal Stepping Stones
This is the first class of a 4 part class.  We will start with a summer stone.  The other stones will be autumn, winter and spring which will be held at later date.  We will paint on a 12” x 12” concrete stepping stone.  Please bring your paint brushes and your creativity.  Class will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 1:00 p.m

Cost: $18 members, $23 non-member for one class.Or, save by signing up for the 4 part series for $65. Dates later to be determined.

Volunteer Linda makes candy for The Dale Association

Candy Making
Volunteers like Linda (pictured left) make everything from chocolate covered pretzels and peanuts to caramel popcorn and chocolate miniatures to sell at The Dale Association. You may even get to sneak a sample! We meet every other Tuesday at 9:30 am. Call 433-1886 to join! Stop by the Centre to pick up a treat, and while you’re here, check out the beautiful crafts for sale in our lobby!

 

Evening Cooking Classes
Our monthly cooking classes are fun, interactive and participatory. Bring your own containers and an appetite, we’ll supply the ingredients and supplies. Please register by calling 433-1886, or register below.

Side Dishes - Tuesday May 29 at 5:30 discover the perfect accompaniment for your next meal with these delicious side dishes. Often we are so hung up on the main dish we forget about the side dish or get tired of making the same side dish again and again. At this class you will learn some new recipes that are creative. Sherry will make a delicious roast to accompany these sides. Bring a few containers to some left overs home. Register by calling 433-1886. Cost: $20 member’s $25 non-members.

Casseroles - Tuesday June 26 at 5:30 we will be making Casseroles. What’s better than a casserole that you can make the night before and put in the oven the next day? At this class you will learn some new recipes to make at home for a great family dinner or to take to a party. Bring a few containers to some left overs home. Register by calling 433-1886. Cost: $20 member’s $25 non-members.

Traditional Rug Hooking
Looking for a fun and rewarding activity? The Traditional Rug Hooking Group meets every other Thursday, at 11:30 am (January 4 and 18). The group is looking for new or experienced participants, and they are willing to teach anyone the skill of traditional rug hooking. Beginner kits are available for purchase for those who sign up. Please call 433-1886 to registers or with questions.

Social Groups - new participants welcome!
Social Sewers
The Social Sewers meet on Monday mornings at 9:30 a.m.  They are currently working on blankets to be donated to local charities.  Sewers of all levels are welcome to join the group. The coffee's on us! 

Centre Quilters
The Centre quilting group has added crochet and knitting projects and meets every Wednesday from 1 - 3 p.m. and all members of The Dale Association are invited to join.  Whether you're an experienced quilter, knitter or crochet-buff or just starting out, this group's for you.  Different projects are offered on a weekly basis with an occasional all day workshop and field trip thrown in.  Stop in on Wednesdays to see what working on.  Cost:  $1 per member, plus supplies.   

Sit and Stitch
The "sit and stitch" hand embroidery group welcomes new members and the 2nd Thursday of the month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Bring a project to work on and ideas to share!
Cost: $2.00

Needler's Group
Our Needlers meet each Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. and welcome new members to join at any time! This group is for anyone who is interested in getting together with other needle-workers, comparing your work, helping each other in learning, doing community projects, and having a ton of fun!
