| Let Us Help You: Mental Health Services: Peer Specialist Program
Peer Specialist Program
33 Ontario Street, Lockport, NY
716-433-1937 ext. 205
The Peer Specialist Program is for adults, age 18 and older, living in Niagara County and in the process of seeking therapeutic services. The Peer Specialist provides assistance to individuals with mental health issues. The program will assist them in their own recovery process.
Peer Specialists are former recipients of mental health services and have special understanding and empathy for their peers due to their personal experiences. They have received specific training so they can assist peers in basic independent living skills and link them to needed services.
Request for admission should be made to the Peer Specialist Program Coordinator during regular business hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The Peer Specialist will then schedule a face-to-face visit at which time all
appropriate releases and paperwork will be completed. To speak confidentially with our Peer Specialist, please call Stephanie Pinzel, at 433-1937 Ext #205, or email Stephanie now.
The Dale Van Ride provides transportation to program participants who don't have a reliable way of getting around town, or are buying items that make traveling by bus or on foot difficult. The van goes to places in Lockport such as Tops, Save-A-Lot, Aldi and Walmart. Seats are available on a first come, first serve basis. To sign up, call Stephanie Pinzel at 433-1937 ext. 205. Don't live in Lockport? Call Stephanie and inquire about transportation in your area!
