Let Us Help You: Mental Health Services: Peer Specialist Program
Peer Specialist Program
9 Ontario Street, Lockport, NY
716-433-3344 ext. 2
The Peer Specialist Program is for adults, age 18 and older, living in Niagara County and in the process of seeking therapeutic services. The Peer Specialist provides assistance to individuals with mental health issues. The program will assist them in their own recovery process.
Peer Specialists are former recipients of mental health services and have special understanding and empathy for their peers due to their personal experiences. They have received specific training so they can assist peers in basic independent living skills and link them to needed services.
Request for admission should be made to the Peer Specialist Program Coordinator during regular business hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The Peer Specialist Program Coordinator will then schedule a face-to-face visit at which time all
appropriate releases and paperwork will be completed. Call 433-3344 Extension #2 for more information about the program.
To speak confidentially with the Peer Specialist,
please call 716-433-3344 ext. 2.
This program is supported by the Niagara County Department of Mental Health and the NYS Office of Mental Health.
