Farmer's Market Coupons at the Senior Centre!

The Senior Centre is excited to announce The Office of the Aging will be giving out Farmers’ Market Coupons at 33 Ontario St. on Thursday, September 3, 2020! All of the information on how to qualify is listed below. Coupons can be picked up at the sliding door entrance located at the end of the Senior Centre building. Please call 438-4020 with questions regarding the coupons. Any questions about where to pick up coupons can be directed to 433-1886.

Eligibility Criteria:  

You MUST BE 60 years of age or older (Sorry, No Exceptions) AND monthly income no more than

                                    $1,967 for a one- person household

                                    $2,658 for a two- person household

                                    $3,349 for a three-person household           

                                                                           OR:

                              You must be 60 years of age or older, no exceptions     

                                                                          AND:

Be entitled to, or receive, SSI, Public Assistance, SNAP, or Section 8 Housing Subsidy

In addition, you must certify that you have not received SFMNP coupons from any other location this year.

The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program is a program headed by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets and provides coupons to all who meet age and income requirements.

 

NOTE: Being a Food Stamp or HEAP recipient NO LONGER automatically qualifies you to receive the coupons

 

Coupon booklets have a value of $20.00 this year, and can be used at authorized Farmers Markets Only.  A List is provided for your convenience.  Lost or stolen coupons cannot be replaced.

 

Booklets will be distributed in the summer months, and must be used NLT November 30, 2020.
